ARTIST STATEMENT
I wrote these songs in the aftermath of heartbreak — in the space where illusion collapses and truth becomes impossible to ignore. What began as devastation became reclamation.
What felt like abandonment became initiation.
I lean into the torch singer archetype — the woman who stands in the fire, not to be consumed, but illuminated.
As fire is only the element from which whatever goes into it comes out transformed, here I stand. This album exists in that space: cinematic, diaristic, dramatic, and unapologetically emotional, renewed, redeemed.
I believe vulnerability is not weakness; it is power before it is weaponized.
As a writer and engineer of my own work, I am deeply involved in sculpting both the emotional and sonic architecture of my music. I care about atmosphere.
I care about tension.
I care about the way a space feels when a song ends.
Calypso’s Revenge is not about revenge in the literal sense.
It is about returning to oneself.
It is about the woman who survives the wreckage and walks out luminous.
This is my offering.
This is my fire.
